The British Columbia Ambulance Service (BCAS) is the lead Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency in British Columbia, the largest EMS provider in Canada, and one of the largest in North America responding to over 500,000 ground calls and 7800 air calls every year. As a valued health care professional, practitioners will:
• provide quality patient care in pre-hospital emergency situations
• be a patient advocate who can communicate and interact effectively with co-workers, other allied health care professionals and public safety partners
• ensure safe, proficient, and efficient patient care and transportation
• provide direction and supervise trainees, as required
• be responsible for station security and maintain the station in clean working order
• be responsible for the safe operation of ambulances
• enhance service delivery and patient care by identifying issues and strategies to address complex program or system-wide problems and concerns.


• Valid EMR or PCP license
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 4 BC Driver's License (or out of province equivalent)
• Driver's Abstract
