Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage all aspects of curriculum development including:
o Planning, actioning, maintaining records of, and preparing and providing situation reports to the CEO regarding training development.
o Identifying and prioritizing all required curriculum.
o Presentation authoring with citations as applicable, including research.
o Presentation creation delegation and authoring team management.
o Practical training development.
o Auditing and editing all third-party authoring and updating and correcting as required.
o Ensuring consistency and standardization across all presentation.
o Ensuring medical accuracy and appropriate citations and references in all scripts.
o Training course compilation in accordance with accreditation requirements.

• Act as the Training Development Review Committee coordinator, organizing meetings and curriculum reviews.
• Work closely with the media development team to create presentations.
• Identify required media for presentations and plan and action its creation using CTOMS resources, e.g.: photo and video shoots, etc.
• Create and action implementation policy of finalized presentations.
• Upload content, organize, and administrate the CTOMS online LMS.
• Create non-media based, practical curriculum that are pedagogically merited exercises using varying training aids in an escalation of skill development.
• Create comprehensive course plans for all contracted and non-contracted courses. Develop, and as required, modify and update these to meet contractual requirements,
client requests, updated and evolving medical practices, and market demands.
• Develop and gain varying certifications and accreditations for developed curriculum.
• Manage curriculum translations through third party agencies as required.
• Identify new training development opportunities.
• Other training development tasks as identified and delegated by CTOMS.

Experience and skills that must be demonstrated in the CV (and interview if requested):
• Professional pre-hospital medical background, ideally at the Advanced Care Paramedic level or higher, with confident and solid understanding of pre-hospital medicine.
• Preferably military medic or law enforcement support paramedic experience, or non-medical military or law enforcement experience.
• Ideally fluent, or at least familiar with the concepts of Tactical Combat Casualty Care.
• Must pass Canadian federal Secret security clearance check.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Computer proficient and able to quickly learn and adhere to ERP, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and LMS software and sites.
• Experience in medical curriculum development.
• Experience in adult education/instruction.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.
• Training coordination experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills. Excellent proficiency in English. Bilingual French is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong work ethic.
